URGENT: HELP US GET MY DYING GRANDFATHER HOME TO HIS FAMILY !
my grandpa was diagnosed with prostate cancer early 2015 and got the recent devastating news that there’s nothing they can do to help him, he’s dying. this took us all very hard, specially my grandfather. since he doesn’t have long and all he wants is to be around his loved ones.
my grandpa, Jorge, lives in Chile where i’m from. he cant afford the medicine there and its a safer and better option to get him to his family in sweden, where i and his daughters/family live. the problem is that we’re all poor and we don’t know how to get him here.
its not only about wanting to be surrounded by your family, but also about tradition and beliefs. its important for us as mapuche to be there for him to make sure his soul can leave his vessel. to have someone do our tradition the right way and continue with our beliefs. we need to make sure his soul leaves to our ancestors, that we can bring peace to him. there’s a lot that needs to be done, therefore we wish to have him as close as possible so we can help him with all of this. help him with everything possible.
so the problem is: we don’t have the money to bring him here or to help him with the medicine. i, we, beg for help, for my family and tradition to not be died out. this is important for my family, its important for our beliefs.
so if you can help, please donate to us. ALL money will go to get my lovely grandfather home so he can rest easy with his loved ones and later our ancestors.

i thought i should mention how much is needed. the reason i didn’t want to put an number on the post is because the numbers are very high and it might scare people off. it sure as heck made me super scared, i almost gave up when i saw how much it would cost.
the cheapest flight i’ve found is around 10.000kr (actually a bit more but yeah) which is about 1230 USD. its a one way ticket from chile to sweden.
yes, i am aware to ask such big numbers is absurd, but i want people to know that im trying my very best to work and earn the money. we all are, it’s just super hard right now. i’m in no shape of working both physically and mentally. so we need help.
however, as i said, ANY money will help, i’m serious about that. it’s always something for us, no matter how big or small the donation you’re giving is. it’s just one step closer to get my grandpa to his family..
